What is Reiki?

Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century as an energy balancing system. By focusing on the energy of the Seven Chakras, Reiki works to restore balance, positivity, and radiant light to one’s energetic field, Chakras, and Aura.

People study and use Reiki to heal any number of conditions that plague the body, mind, emotions, or spirit, since these issues are rooted in an energy imbalance.

What to Expect

Inner Spirit has a dedicated Reiki Room in our home in Elk, WA, but is also a mobile service. I can come to your home or business with a gravity lounger and my stool. It's best in a calm environment with minimal distractions. We are also able to rent space at The Healing Boutique in the Spokane Valley for an additional fee, See the Reiki Services page for details.

During a session, it's best to wear comfortable clothing with no shoes or glasses. I'll have you lay on your back. Pillows and cushions are available at my home if you're unable to lay on your back on the massage table.

I will start using my hands on your head and shoulders primarily with the main Chakras.

Moving to your body I will hold my hands above your Chakras by several inches, and then be hands on again for the major joint areas, like hips, knees and feet.

Each session runs from 40 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on how much work needs to be done. The energy guides it. Some people are very depleted and soak it up like a sponge. Others are already pretty balanced and don't take much at each location.
